There are arguments that all blackface is always harmful, and that type of argument was levied against tropic thunder, but by and large, the blackface storyline was uncontroversial at the time and is uncontroversial today. Tropic Thunder was heavily criticized for its simple jack storyline, not because the message was bad, but because the way it was handled accidentally reinforced Hollywood’s exploitative attitude towards neuro-divergent people when it was trying to criticize it. In general, complaints about “woke culture” and “cancel culture” are actually more harmful than the real excessive nature of the extremes of both those mindsets.

I moved here for my now wife and seeing the way people act has got me wishing to go back to Europe. I loved it here before people started showing blind faith in someone so wrong so often. I dunno, I think everyone should be raised to be like that in a sense, granted I think people should be able to ask for help if they need it. I don't think it is healthy to suffer a tragedy and break when you could be trying to make things better.bI am not implying that people shouldn't feel emotions, nor should they bury them, but you can feel pain and sadness and try to be a useful human at the same time.
