How does that work? Wouldn’t your company need to pay Canadian taxes? I thought even within the states they need to know what state you are remote from for tax withholding and health insurance purposes. I could totally be wrong though. Another Canadian here. I'm flying from LA to BC in two weeks so I can have a quarantine vacay and plot my long term exit plan in case Trump somehow manages to stay in power. I’ve heard you aren’t allowed to do this...tax reasons or something? Not true? I know I’ve heard about a few people that want to come back but can’t. Note American living in Canada).

 Once they get off the island, they have a lot more “fame” (for lack of a better word) than they had going in. If people didn’t like them while they were on the show, they’ll definitely hear about it once they get out since a lot of the Islanders have public social media accounts. I think the poster you replied to meant that a normal person (as normal as one can be to sign up for a show like this) getting thrust into the spotlight after getting off the show is not something someone can prepare for.  Whilst I agree that the contestants on Love Island need more support after leaving the villa as they get plunged into a world they have never experienced before, it’s crazy and overwhelming and extremely intense. I don’t think you can chalk this one up to Love Island, she wasn’t a contestant and this wasn’t her first TV work. I’m not denying that fame can be brutal especially with all the critique that comes with it, I just don’t think that Love Island was part of the cause here. This was a woman struggling with her own personal demons that were magnified to an extent she could only see one option. Extremely sad and heartbreaking. At TSA, when going through security before departure they are explosive sniffing dogs. But at custom, when re-entering the country from overseas they are drug-sniffing dogs. Then also, some airports let local police come walk around more or less anywhere passengers are.
