The only mention of breaking laws seems to be that he "lured the bear to the cage" where it would've been shot if it managed to open the cage. I mean, did he actually lure it to the cage though? I feel like something is strange here because he came to Svalbard to make a fucking documentary "the polar bear family and me" so obviously he's going to film polar bears or some shit? How did he intentionally draw the polar bear to the cage? Seems like if you're doing a documentary on them, it's just smart to have a cage-like this, and you're probably at high risk of having to use it. Maybe he did intentionally try to get this footage but I feel like there's a good chance here it really is just local politics like the guy said, they're upset that a polar bear fucked with him even though the odds of that were high, and they just don't want other people thinking they can do the same shit.
