The polar bear in the video was a mother with her cubs apparently nearby. You stare at him, he stares right back at you, that’s when the attack happens, not from the front but from the side, from the other two polar bears you didn’t even know were there. Any strange erection or animal in the vicinity would definitely be construed as a potential threat and would lure a bear. Mother bears do not mess about when their cubs are around. You wouldn’t need to specifically lure the bear with food or bait. There’s limited information though and it’s unclear what actually happened (I imagine that the BBC settled the issue outside Court).

Another strange tale from the arctic regions: Many years ago my dad was working on an engineering project in Kangerlussuaq - the location of Greenland's biggest airport. Since hotel accommodation was limited he was staying at the US Air Base Sodrestrom next to the airport. The first night he was there someone at the base invited him to the bar on the base. It was only a short walk, but the guy insisted they drove. After some pretty heavy drinking, my dad expected them to walk back, but the locals insisted on taking the car. Just as they got into the car, military police showed up and asked what they were doing. Same. Although I didn’t get to do much gaming during my treatments... my chemo and immunotherapy regimen required Benadryl so I slept during a good portion of my treatment time. I guess it’s just not something that I ever really thought about before, but it’s really cool to know there are so many other people out there like myself that have gone through this and bond over gaming. If I remember correctly it’s a reference to the founding myth of Rome. There’s a response where the wishes say “kill it” or something to that effect. The right answer is “thanks” it recalls the mother wolf who keeps her child safe with her mouth.
