The man is spitting facts. A girl from my class said that I was incapable of emotions and that I wasn't human, I tried to tell her that sadness doesn't mean tears, and she got mad at me. I'm a trans man, and I can confirm that testosterone only changed my crying threshold, not how actually sad I am in response to something. Also, a transman and I can confirm. I was a little skeptical at first, but testosterone immediately annihilated my capacity for crying. It slowly came back and I still don't cry out of anger or frustration anymore (used to be a huge issue for me), only sadness and happiness crying. And even then I don't get the 'floodgates are opening' sensation anymore. It's more like shedding a single manly tear.

The metric to actually pay attention to is the area under that curve (AUC or AUROC). This can sorta be interpreted the same as the accuracy where 1 is perfect, 0 is exactly opposite of the right answers (so you could just reverse the answers and have the right ones - kinda like scoring 0% on a true/false quiz) and 0.5 is no better than random guessing. Honestly impressive the success rate. It'll need more replicate studies but 1000 samples with 94% are pretty damn good for an instant-read. Accuracy means nothing when you have imbalanced data. I can also predict if a random person off the street has COVID with 90-something% accuracy. I’ll just say nobody has it and since the number of people who actually have COVID is less than 10% in almost every population, I’ll have greater than 90% accuracy. Hi! I live here! Cars tend to have auto-locks so if you are here and see a bear don’t bother. Go into the nearest house and just yell “there’s a bear!, I’m here for shelter!” And nobody will mind, probably will happily go to the window to watch it with you. Oh, and if nobody’s home just uses the phone to call bear patrol and leave a note that you were here due to a bear and didn’t take anything. Edit: it’s funny how people think that polar bears actively hunt people, they don’t. They are lazy and curious and easily startled. Interestingly, because according to my dad who’s lived here since he was a teenager there was a dog problem in the early 1970s but they took care of it fairly quickly. I didn't mean to imply that your emotions should render you a useless human being. Just that for men, there should be a gray area where I'm taking care of business, but also being vulnerable is met with support and not ignored. Though this may be true, I don't necessarily think it's my case. I noticed my typo but my comment was meant to say "I just don't like crying" which is true. I just don't. I'm a pretty sensitive person. Probably the most sensitive in my family but some things for me just aren't worth crying about I guess.
